BigRep introduces the BigRep PRO and BigRep ONE large-format 3D printers, which are “new and better.”
BigRep, a large-format 3D printing firm, revealed its new machines at Formnext last week, including updates to its flagship BigRep ONE and BigRep Pro platforms.
BigRep JUMPSTART, a revolutionary hybrid software-hardware solution for the industrial-focused, one-metre-cubed BigRep PRO, allows users to forgo manual print preparation and start printing in minutes. SWITCHPLATE, a removable and flexible print bed surface that makes it easier to remove parts without the use of glues or tools, is one of the three main features.

Secondly,
the LOCKSTAGE function enables quick and easy extruder attachment,
ensuring greater precision throughout the print,
while BigRep’s MXT Controls System ensures optimal first print layers and eliminates the need for manual print bed and extruder calibration.
The Pro is touted to be excellent for users
who want to print full-scale prototypes,
industrial tooling, patterns, moulds, and end-use parts,
which can now be printed in fibre-filled filaments
such as PA12-CF thanks to improved fibre-filled compatibility.
The BigRep ONE has been enhanced for designers,
pattern makers, and researchers with a lighter
, more precise portal that can now be tailored to the user’s demands.
Customers can select from single, dual, or twin extruder modes,
as well as add-ons such as enclosed housing, all of which can be adjusted as their needs change.
The colour of the printer itself can also
be adjusted to suit the user as a final touch of personalization.
Dr Sven Thate, Managing Director of BigRep, says,
“We are excited and happy to demonstrate our new additive manufacturing solutions,
which combine our diversified hardware, materials, and processes, as well as software and controls experience.”
“The new BigRep PRO was created with the efficiency
and convenience of use of our industrial users in mind.
For all imaginative users THINKING BIG, the new BigRep ONE,
the original inexpensive large-format 3D printer, is now even more accessible and adaptable.”
