The box was very well packaged with a plastic wrapper over and warning stickers to warn of glass.
Inside the box the printer was held in place by foam inserts that fitted snuggly around the machine. The entire machine is made from powder coated sheet metal and has a very nice solid structural feel to it, unfortunately the top lip wasn’t protected from the bottom housing so this resulted in it banging around in transit and scratching up the corners of the machine. A thin layer of foam between where the two sections meet would have solved this problem.
After removing the top lip there was a accessories box fitted between the build plate and the resin tray, this was held in very snug which resulted in no broken parts. Inside the accessories box you get everything you need to get your started in your new resin printing endeavours.
Inside the accessories box:
Spare Fep Tape sheet for the screen
Jar for cleaning finished prints
Scraper
2 x latex gloves
Power cable
Hex driver
Small sample amount of white UV resin
The printer is not available for purchase just yet but this post will be updated as soon as it is, In the meantime make sure to check out my Youtube channel below where I will be posting new videos and updates on the printer as I print and tweak it.

Looks like a nice printer.
looks like a nice one
??
This is definitely on my wish list.
Glad I didn’t push the buy button on the FDM machine I was looking at upgrading to earlier. This might be my new toy.
Looks good, do you know what the release price will be?
Looks like a great printer and compact. I see it’s not available to buy yet.
That seems like a very nice printer. The quality seems very good.
Awesome. I sure hope 3dprinterchat.com picks me to win one of these 🙂
Good job putting the printer together.
Waiting for review of the production version. Looks like a decent machine at an unbelievable price. Thanks for the reviews and videos so far Evan.
I have seen talk of the D9 recently but can’t find anything about it yet on Wanhao’s site. They really make me want to get into SLA printing.
I would so be there, but the price for entry is still too high for me. I guess I’ll stick with FDM for now.
