The Box, a Granular Fed 3D-Printer in Monster Size.
The Box is one of the largest printers in the world, it has a build volume of 2.5 cubic meters!, a printing speed of up to 1 200mm/s and can print up to 6 kg of materials per hour.
The reason the printer can print so much material is because is does not run on filament but instead runs on granulates. Using granulates also gives the printer the freedom and opportunity to be able to print a lot more materials, including materials with filling, for example 60% PP plastic and 40% wood.
The printer is built by the company BLB Industries AB in Sweden.
