Stratasys Ltd (NASDAQ: SSYS), a Pioneer in polymer 3D printing solutions disclosed earlier today it has acquired all remaining shares of Xaar 3D Ltd plc (LON: XAR), Increasing the company’s success in production 3D printing.
Before this Stratasys owned a 45% stake in Xaar 3D. Back in April 2021, the Stratasys H350™ 3D printer,
The first system powered by Xaar D’s powder-based SAF™ technology was introduced by Stratasys.
This serves as a climax of more than a decade of research and development, SAF-based 3D printers are designed to provide cost-competitive parts at a production-level throughput.
Since the news broke, The H350 has been successfully integrated throughout Stratasys’ direct manufacturing and different beta customer sites across Europe and the US, with general availability expected before year’s end.
Stratasys CEO Dr Yoav Zeif says” We are pledged to being the leading provider of production-scale 3D printing for our clients,
As 3D printing continues to evolve industries around the globe,”
He adds
” The H350 printer and SAf technology are crucial to that mission.
giving us a strong platform for meeting consumer needs in industries such as automotive,
consumer electronics and commercial
bringing Trustworthy products
Customers note that this technology’s consistent performance at greater volumes helps them grow their businesses,
and gives them a significant competitive edge.
We are delighted to welcome the exceptional team of innovators from Xaar 3D to the Stratasys family.”
The H series production printers, such as H350, are created to provide part consistency.
reliability,
and quality that provides customer satisfaction and high production yield.
Adopting SAF technology, the printers execute core 3D printing steps in the same direction across the print bed to give a systematic thermal experience for all printed parts, irrespective of their placement in the build.
This serves as a significant improvement over regular powder bed fusion methods.
The H series printers are designed for production control.
Capitalizing on multiple onboard sensors, Build data is logged for process traceability and customers retain massive control over it.
Materials are monitored, and print settings are finetuned for diverse customer needs.
Xaar 3D researchers also joining the Stratasys team
The Xaar 3D will join Stratasys to continue leading the improvement of the H-series platform and SAF technology.
“The Xaar 3D was created on the premise that we could advance powder bed technology,
and this is happening thanks to SAF technology,”
said Rohen Cohen, The General Manager of Xaar 3D Ltd
” there’s been significant improvement of thermal management for consistent and reliable parts,
while increasing the production control for customers.
As part of Stratasys, we will continue to rapidly advance H Series 3D printer development while leveraging Stratasys’ global go-to-market infrastructure and blue-chip customer relationships to enable more customers to benefit from SAF-powered additive manufacturing.”
