The latest flagship 3D printer from Hong Kong-based manufacturer KOKONI, the KOKONI SOTA, which was first displayed at CES in January 2023, has been launched.

According to KOKONI, the printer,

which will debut on Kickstarter, has an upside-down and closed-loop motor design for quick printing with stability and precision of less than 0.1mm.

“In 2022, our team used Indiegogo to launch the EC1,

a first-generation 3D printer.

We appreciate the feedback from the over a thousand users and backers.

With the creation of the KOKONI SOTA,

we are excited to share the outcome of our tireless efforts to provide the Kickstarter community with an intelligent consumer-grade 3D printer.

The majority of the moving components, such as motors and rails, are safely mounted to the printer’s bottom base, according to KOKONI,

which the company claims promises an “extremely” low centre of gravity with a full-metal structure.

The company also asserts that the inverted design’s stability results in virtually no vibration.

According to the manufacturer, the printer’s noise level can be as low as 30dB with the vibration reduced.

According to KOKONI, the SOTA prints at a rate of more than 600 mm/s and an acceleration of 21 m/s2. The SOTA has a closed-loop,

internally developed intelligent motor that instantly recognizes and corrects positions and errors.
According to KOKONI, the KOKONI app uses AI algorithms to instantly create a real 3D model from a 2D image.
