IKEA ThisAbles project: a line of free 3D printable furniture add-ons for disabled people
Worldwide furniture manufacturer, IKEA, teamed up with nonprofits Milbat and Access Israel to create special solutions for populations with disabilities
The main purpose of the ThisAbles is to make IKEA furniture more user-friendly for people with disabilities. These accesories are available online as free models, then anyone can 3D print them indepently and place them on Ikea appliances if you own any.

Milbat and Access Israel are Non-profit organizations that specialize in “creating solutions for populations with special needs and disabilities”. In order to create a better everyday life for as many people as possible, they developed along with IKEA ThisAble line of products that “bridge some of the gaps between existing IKEA products” and people with special needs.
“We feel it is our duty to create this initiative and allow people with disabilities to enjoy a wide range of products, furniture and household items.”
